BRAINTREE, MASS. (September 21, 2019) – Liberty Bay Credit Union, one of the most established credit unions in New England, has hired James Dowling as Vice President and Controller. James will be responsible for guiding financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures. He will also enforce internal controls, monitor and confirm financial condition by conducting audits as well as providing information to external auditors.

Prior to joining Liberty Bay Credit Union, James was Vice President and Corporate Accounting Officer at the publicly-traded Belmont Savings Bank. He also served as an Audit Manager in the banking practice at Marcum LLP in Boston.
James received both his Bachelor of Science in Accounting, as well as his Masters of Business Administration from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. Additionally, James is a Certified Public Accountant. He is a volunteer board member and Treasurer of the Board at the Italian Home for Children in Jamaica Plain.
